A week to forget, So lets forget it

Weather report, wet & very windy. The remnants of the hurricane may of missed us & we had a very quiet day but it has made up for it before that day and after. Winds of 30, 40 +mph and been raining most days for a month or more. Taking about the weather seems better than talking about the events of the past week.

We all have a free Saturday, What are you going to do with it? I am going to a talk on why the Highland Clearances started, at Helmsdale in Sutherland. Should be interesting, anyone want a report? Then off to Tesco's, not so interesting but got to get tea. Might just have fish & chips though.

OK down to business, the match. Well is this a 'must win game' for Bruce, along with the next few games? Anyone who thinks we should beat Stoke are fooling themselves. They will be hard to beat. Pulis has been canny in his buys and has been slowing improving his squad. They might of got beaten in Europe on Thursday but they are in it.  At least we are playing at home, the Britannia Stadium is a hard place to play these days. That is how SOL should be. Is it one win at home in 2011, not a fortress is it. We should try to change this. We, the fans can't do it all but why not help. I can understand why things were so flat last Saturday, everyone was in shock. On Sunday be behind the lads 100% for 100% of the game. Shout & sing the whole way though. Show the lads that what ever happens off the field or what we think of the management we are behind them. Show them they should not be afraid to play at home in front of us. Maybe if they are less afraid they will play better.

We do need to play 2 up front, we are at home after all. Who should partner Bendtner, Ji or Conner. Ji scored last week and so shows us a) he can score in the PL & b) he is quick. Conner though is a big lad and we will be up against a strong team. We will have to be strong so maybe start with Conner and see if his size will make a difference. It will be nice to have two players who can give as good as they get in that area, who can harry the defence. Our previous strikers seemed to be easily pushed off the ball.

With Bradsley out I think the back 4 will be O'Shea, Brown, Titus & Rico. Midfield is a hard one. We need Larsson for his dead ball. Do we want Catts in a game that is going to be hard, will he last 90 mins? Anyway Bruce always seems to take him off, is he unconvinced at Catts contribution? Sess must be in as he is our most creative player. I think it is a waste to have both Catts & Colback and to be honest I prefer Colback. So then Vaughan or Gardner? Have not really seen enough of them to pick.

I would like to see McClean on the bench, a true left sided player. He must come on soon. Cook seems to be scoring freely in the reserves. We have some good youngsters coming on, the likes of Laing, Ryan Noble, Knott, to name a few.

We have been down but the foundations are there for a good team. Lets hope Bruce can build on the foundations. Remember we as fans can undo the foundations and undermine the house.

Give it a go. Show the lads what they know, we are the best fans. Let them want to play for us.

What do we say.

H'awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay The Lads
