Blank

Strange title? Nope, for football fans that is exactly what it is, a blank weekend. I do dislike these international weekends. What do you do? Nothing to get excited about or in our case getting worried about. We do tend to worry alot and not without some due cause. Being a Mackem is not a easy life. Would be much easier if you supported Man U or Chelsea, when your only worry is 'How many prizes are we going to win this season. Or a City fan wondering 'which world stars will be coming our way in January & what are we not going to win'.

What are our worries then? Which striker will leave this transfer season.? Who will be injured next? Will we actually buy a left sided player who Bruce will play on the left? If we are 15th now, what position will we be in after our & Bruce's normal post Christmas slump? Also, why has Short moved to Chairman? Is it move the club on as he wants to sell or he just felt that Quinn had done as much as he could in that role and it needed fresh blood?

Maybe the first of our questions is a little redundant this window as we have 2 youngsters and a loanee. It was good news that Wickham's injury is not as bad as it first seemed. Let's hope that he is soon back, we was showing some good form for us. Also the more he played the more the rest of the team would get to know him and visa versa. If he had not been injured and started to score regularly then Liverpool may of bid £35m for him as they seem to pay outrageous sums for young players, lol. As much as I want to see Campbell back we don't know how much the injuries have affected him, not just physically but also mentally. Having 2 bad injuries can leave a person scared.

I don't feel that I need to say anything about our friends up the road. Just as things seem to be going well for them, you can be assured that Ashley will come along and put his big size 16's in. They can make fools of the themselves to the world without me having to do it for them.

Fulham next weekend, things back to normal. It will not be a easy game, not a certain win for us so lets not fool ourselves. If we were a genuine top 10 team then maybe but we are not. As always the lads need our support so get ready for it again shout the roof down.

Ha'waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
